About us

Taxi company since 1992

Tyrol has a new transfer and taxi company

Shortly after our company was founded by Herbert Gangl, the regional newspaper “Bezirks Blatt” presented our first fleet of vehicles on the front page in 1992. This was the beginning of a success story that continues to this day.

With our fleet consisting of three Toyotas and a Renault Espace, we were already able to inspire our passengers at that time. In the first months, our core business consisted of classic taxi rides, but soon we developed into a reliable airport transfer company.

If you don’t advertise, you die.

Online marketing did not yet exist.

At the beginning of the 90s, the possibility of making our company internationally known through modern online marketing was still some 15 years in the future.

The newspaper was our advertising medium

But even then we were aware that success does not come by itself. In order to secure increasing sales for our young family business, we exhausted the advertising possibilities of the time by regularly placing newspaper advertisements and distributing flyers to all households in the area.

1993

With our slogan “We pick you up everywhere and take you everywhere!” we were able to attract customers for airport transfers from Innsbruck to Munich just one year after our successful start. In 1993, there were hardly any direct flights from Innsbruck Airport to popular holiday destinations or to Europe’s capital cities.

Especially during the summer months, our fleet was at full capacity with airport transfers to Munich.

The road to a modern Tyrolean family business
1994 Gangl Taxi becomes a school bus

In autumn of that year we took on the responsible task of operating as a school bus for the communities of St. Sigmund, Gries i.S. and Sellrain for the first time.

With two minivans we took the children from the widely scattered community hamlets to kindergarten and school.

Over the years, we were also able to gain the trust of the communities of Oberperfuß, Ranggen and Kematen and act as a school bus for these villages as well. And finally we were also able to take care of those children who attend the special education centre in Zirl.

Since then we have been carrying out this beautiful task year after year without interruption.

2008 Innsbruck Airport Taxi the company goes online

With our first website we succeeded in making it easier for guests from abroad to reach us and book their transfers online. Since then we have seen an annual increase in the number of airport transfers.

By continuously updating our website with a focus on Innsbruck Airport, we have been able to steadily increase the reach of our website ever since.

Innsbruck Airport Taxi - Gangl Transfers today

You are in good hands

Tyrol is mountains, valleys, tradition … Tyrol is so many things, but for us it is something very special: namely our home!

The bond with our small country in the heart of the Alps benefits our passengers. We know our way around and have always been familiar with the pitfalls and dangers of high alpine mountain roads. We know our mountains and approach them with respectful caution.

We are proud to be a true Tyrolean business.

We are a proud Tyrolean company!

Your Innsbruck Airport Taxi

To make you feel comfortable as our passenger, we tailor our services to your individual needs and wishes. Our drivers speak impeccable German and English. We can be reached by telephone and e-mail at any time and can react quickly and easily to any changes to your booking.

Airport Innsbruck Taxi – Gangl Transfers is now a forward-looking company with an exclusive fleet of state-of-the-art vehicles.

When two do the same thing, it is not the same!

Our service is no different from that of our competitors: we drive customers from Innsbruck Airport to the ski resorts of Tyrol and South Tyrol and back again.

The difference is that we are a taxi with Tyrolean hospitality and this hospitality is passionately lived by our team.

How can a small taxi in Tyrol hold its own against a superior force of large Eastern European corporations? We investigated these questions and the answer was obvious.

Humanity – the key to success in the digital world.

We want to be a taxi with Tyrolean hospitality for our passengers:

  • we don’t have customers – we welcome guests who become friends on the second booking.
  • we have no booking numbers – we drive with and for people to their destination
  • we don’t have a Mr. Muster or Mrs. Muster – we know “Dear Mr. Max” and “Dear Mrs. Heidi”.
  • we don’t thank you for a booking – we look forward to getting to know you.
  • you will look in vain for employees – we are a team
there is no sticker with “Do not talk to the driver during the journey”. We chat all by ourselves and tell interesting and worth knowing stories about our beloved Tyrol.
  • We always come up with something because we are real Tyroleans and know our country.
  • Fill out the booking form and you’ll receive a confirmation – yes, our guests get that too, but before that we check the data personally.
  • We have known our mountains and roads for over 25 years and advise our guests accordingly.

We could add dozens more to the above points, but we believe the core message crystallises:

digital is essential – humanity is vital.
